This is a perfect run for families with small kids. You will also see lots of fishermen on this stretch.  Be aware though.  Just because this is a class I/II run don't take it for granted.  There are lots of river channels, down trees and other obstacles you need to watch out for.  Also at lower water you need to watch for shallows and river channels that won't take a raft. Weather on the river today will be partly sunny, with a high near 34. wind chill values as low as zero. west southwest wind 6 to 8 mph.

This run is accessible from 3 public boat access points along the Snake River. The Astoria to West Table is also ideal for multi day paddlers as the run features numerous campsites. Campers will find 1 riverside campsites as the run winds its way through 10 miles of the beautiful Snake River.

Paddlers are advised to exercise caution with streamflow levels at 794cfs, about -91% below the average runnable rate of 8000cfs. Streamflow levels and subsequent run conditions for Astoria To West Table are sourced from the USGS streamflow gage located at Snake River At Moose, Wy.


Our recommended river levels for paddling this section of the Snake River are between a bare minimum of 4000cfs and a high of 23000cfs. Paddlers can expect to come across numerous class I to II obstacles as they float down this 10 mile stretch of the Snake River.
