This is the hardest stretch on the Greys with the crux being the Snaggletooth Rapid.  Scout from the road. Weather on the river today will be sunny, with a high near 75. west wind 6 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

This run is accessible from 2 public boat access points along the Greys River. The Lower Greys (Squaw Creek to Bridge Campground) is also ideal for multi day paddlers as the run features numerous campsites. Campers will find 1 riverside campsites as the run winds its way through 3 miles of the beautiful Greys River.

The Lower Greys (Squaw Creek to Bridge Campground) is currently TOO LOW to be paddled and you could find yourself bottoming out on rocks. Paddlers are advised to exercise caution with streamflow levels at 371cfs, about -80% below the average runnable rate of 2000cfs. Streamflow levels and subsequent run conditions for Lower Greys (Squaw Creek To Bridge Campground) are sourced from the USGS streamflow gage located at Greys River Ab Reservoir Nr Alpine Wy.


Our recommended river levels for paddling this section of the Greys River are between a bare minimum of 520cfs and a high of 5500cfs. Paddlers can expect to come across 1 class III+ to V- obstacles as they float down this 3 mile stretch of the Greys River.
