Run Overview

This class I to II- journey is accessible from 3 different boat launch points along the Deschutes River. Paddlers should prepare for the 1 class I to II- whitewater rapids along this run. Pringle Falls to Big River Campground is also ideal for multi day paddlers looking to do some camping too. Campers will find 1 riverside campsites as the run winds its way through 16 miles of the beautiful Deschutes River.

Below pringle falls is more flatwater scenic floating and fishing.  There is one mandatory portage due to a log jam (see rapids section).  Several camping options exist in the La Pine State Park. Weather on the river today will be light snow
